✝️“For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.”
Proverbs 24:16
✝️“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
Romans 3:23
We must not delay and run away from God, lest the consequences of that sin come and wreak havoc in our lives (James 1:14-15).
Rather, we must run to Christ, for only through Jesus will we find freedom and victory over the sins we struggle with.
Let us persistently reflect to see what our faults may be, for the Holy Spirit himself will convict us of all unrighteousness but He never condemn nor forsake us. It is time to let Him in as He knocks on the doors of our hearts. (John 16:7-15)
Seek the Lord Jesus Christ diligently through fasting, prayer, and the Word of God. It’s that simple. It’s time to come back home, my beloved. God is waiting for you with open arms and a new life. (Isaiah 1:15-20)
✝️“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
I John 1:9
✝️“Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight— That You may be found just when You speak, And blameless when You judge. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me hear joy and gladness, That the bones You have broken may rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You. Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, The God of my salvation, And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness. O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise. For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise.”
Psalms 51:1-17
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your love, your mercy, and for another chance.
Thank you for never giving up on me, though I fall and stumble continually.
Create in me a clean heart, a steadfast spirit within me; may your Holy Spirit guide me, convict me when I am doing anything that doesn’t please you, and lead me to genuine repentance.
Heal my past hurts, the sins which I have run away from, and overcome them fully so that this temptation may be put to death in order that I may experience the newfound life I have in you, Christ Jesus.
Transform me through your Holy Spirit and Holy Scriptures as I diligently seek you all the days of my life and into eternity.
I ask this in Jesus' Name, amen.
