Spiritual Warfare

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

Have you ever felt sad, angry, distraught, tempted and enticed without a cause? 
This may be frightening to realize but your soul may very well be under attack.
But take heart for God has already provided a way out from the schemes of the evil one.
It’s very much like a movie, Good vs Evil, but ultimately we all know that the Good will always prevail at the end of the story.
Revelation 20:10, 14-15
Therefore I want to alert yet encourage you at the same time.
Your soul is at war this very moment, perhaps more apparent throughout the days and moments of hardship.

The weapons of our warfare as Christians are not by sword nor a spear, but by the living word of God and by prayer; in which we can tap into the spiritual realm, where we engage in it by faith, not by sight.

These are the offensive weapons used in spiritual warfare against the devil, demons, and their schemes.

Christ went to the cross to defeat sin.

Christ went to the cross to defeat Satan.

Therefore we Submit to God and directly seek him and his glory that we may continuously fight the battle for our souls and remain victorious as we await his return! Christ has already overcome the world, Christ has already overcome the evil one!
Therefore take up the shield of faith, put on the full armor of God and immerse yourself in the word of God which is precisely how Jesus Christ combatted the devil after he was tempted.

Jesus Christ hit the devil with the word of God, even when the devil tried to entice Christ with the pleasures of this world, Twisting and perverting the scriptures for his own agenda, while Christ was in his weakened state.
This is the same way he will entice us.

The devil will not come out with horns and a pitch fork, he will arise as something so beautiful that you desire, enticing you with deceitful treasures of this world that lead to sin and ultimately leads to death.

When sin is fully brought forth and conceived, it brings forth death.

Death no longer has dominion over us when we are in Christ. For by his grace and sacrifice, we have inherited eternal life by believing and trusting in him.

The enemy will tempt you with the sins you’ve struggled with for years, he won’t appear as something foreign but as something familiar.

He will attack you not at the forefront of the battle but through the back door, through the tapping of your shoulder, he will whisper lies into your very ear and if you do not guard your mind and heart and fail to recognize that you are being attacked, you will assuredly fall into temptation.
Therefore deny yourself and pick up your cross daily that you may trample the schemes of the devil. 

Do not be afraid to go on the Spiritual Offensive for we are not meant to be defending all the time, there is a time to wage war against the evil one!

You are free in Christ and you are more than conquerors in Christ! Live in that freedom and do not return back to captivity when God has already set you free! 

Here is a prayer and some scriptures to help you while you are in the midst of your Spiritual Warfare, may God continue to guide you and keep you in the victory in Christ Jesus!

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to you in the midst of temptation, in the midst of this battle and I submit myself to you o God.

I put on the full armor of God which you have provided, as we see in your word that this is not a struggle against flesh and blood, but this is an unseen, spiritual battle.

I rebuke you Satan! I rebuke the enemies' schemes and tactics and I rend them powerless right now in the name of Jesus Christ, the name that is above all names! I cast out every unclean and demonic spirit coming against me right now, I send those unclean and demonic spirits to the pits of hell that they may never return and fill their place with the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.

I stand firm in the victory Christ has provided for there is no evil dominion nor evil power over me for I am covered in the blood of the lamb.

I put on the belt of truth, I put on the breastplate of righteousness, I put on the sandals of peace which comes from the gospel to my defense, and I take up the shield of faith and extinguish all the fiery darts and arrows of the evil one, as I put on the helmet of salvation that I may guard my mind and my heart and complete this armor with the sword of the spirit, the true and living word of God!

I claim this victory over this battle, over this temptation in the name of Jesus Christ, o holiest of holies.

Thank you for this victory and providing a way out God.
